Sustaining a positive culture in the workplace
Successful businesses often develop new initiatives to improve workplace behaviour and culture. This allows leaders to drive positive change and demonstrate to their employees that they are invested in the working environment. The greatest benefit of these transformations are achieved when efforts are also made to ensure the developing culture is enduring ahead of being ‘topical’ or a fad.

Embed transformational behaviours into every day practice
Incorporating positive cultural changes into the daily structure of a business mitigates value loss after initiatives have been implemented. Repetition and consistency of new habits encourages employees to understand why certain behaviours more accurately represent company values.
Include incentives for long-term implementation
Often initiative incentives are focused around the initial introduction of new positive behaviours. By providing team members with long-term motivations they are more likely to consistently integrate the changes into their mindset and work behaviour.
Assess progress regularly and refine processes
The process of developing a positive culture should be perceived as a journey rather than something that can be addressed at a single time point. Assessing the progress of change and finely tuning the process over time ensures that it will continue to have beneficial effects on company customs.
