How to Gain the Most From a Feedback Session
Great leaders understand that feedback sessions are foundational to their role and can improve their employee’s day-to-day output drastically when implemented correctly. It is a manager’s responsibility to ensure these meetings are scheduled, actively facilitate, and stimulate development and motivation within their team members. There are several things that managers can do to utilise this time to drive change whilst providing feedback.

Both manager and team member should leave the feedback session feeling valued, well- informed and have clarity in regards to what steps should be taken following the meeting. Employees should understand exactly what is expected of them and have confidence in their ability to do so. Asking for employee feedback about how future sessions could be improved can help to ensure that they will be productive and fulfilling for both parties.
