What is Driving Employee Engagement?

Employees who are disengaged display a greater division or disconnect from their work, whereas having employees that are engaged leads to an abundance of positive outcomes for both the individual and the organisation. Increased productivity, lower turnover rates, and increased customer satisfaction are just a few of the ways that engaged workforces can benefit companies. For leaders, understanding what stimulates employee participation is a valuable and powerful asset.

The quality and design of a role can have a significant impact on the extent to which an employee becomes involved in and is stimulated by their work. Ensuring that your expectations are clear and providing consistent feedback allows team members to feel more secure in their role and empowers them to take charge of their performance.

It is important for leaders to have the capability to recognise the needs and optimal strategy of the organisation. If these views can effectively and accurately be delivered to a team, employees will demonstrate greater levels of engagement and motivation in their role.
