Small Actions That Make Great Leaders and Foster Trust
“Great things are done by a series of small things brought together.”
– Vincent Van Gogh
Successful leadership behaviours are built from small sets of actions that collectively drive employee development and motivation. Leaders must make it a priority to implement or improve upon smaller measures that drive their team members. When these actions accumulate they lead to more meaningful manager-employee relationships and positive outcomes for organisations as a whole.

Having difficult conversations, building trust, influencing, and improving performance are just some of the challenging behaviours that leaders are required to navigate and master. This can be complicated as each behaviour typically comes with its own framework or prescribed outline, whilst each employee situation may be unique.
The same intention must be brought to all of these circumstances; how can you handle this in a way that brings out the best in both you and your employee, with a primary aim to advance towards a common purpose? By setting the focus on cultivating growth, wisdom, and self-realisation in yourself and others, leadership behaviours have a more profound and intentional impact.
Authentic leadership begins with the goal to inspire and propel team members towards success. The building blocks of behaviour that make great leaders are incorporated into all interactions and acquiring the skills to consistently exhibit actions that reflect your underlying positive intention will elevate your managerial capabilities and your team’s satisfaction within their role.
