Engagement & employee feedback in the workplace
When employees receive consistent feedback from their leaders, they are given current and updated indicators of how they can continuously better their performance and where they have been doing well. For employees, understanding how they are currently performing and where they can improve generates opportunities to set new goals and strive towards accomplishing them in a collaborative process.

Employee engagement
Ensuring employees are engaged in their work should be a significant priority for all leaders. Providing stable feedback and communicating to employees why the work that they are doing is important promotes higher levels of motivation and drive. Helping employees excel in their roles by providing them with this support will benefit not only the individual team members but the organisation as a whole.
Recognising your employees
It can often be difficult for leaders to make the time in their busy schedules to constantly speak individually with all of their team members and recognise their work. The outcome of leaders acknowledging their employees, however, can be a far-reaching effect on the dynamic of the workplace. When leaders demonstrate that they have a genuine interest in how their employees are progressing in the roles it creates a culture of collaboration and alliance.
Employees wanting more feedback
Organisations should be finding efficient ways to provide feedback to their employees so that they feel they are developing in their roles. Employees value their work having meaning and making a difference, which is difficult to perceive without feedback from their managers. When leaders find a method to track performance in an organised and structured way, reviews and feedback sessions are much more effective and less challenging for leaders to compile at the last minute.
Regular feedback leading to lower turnover rates
When employees are shown guidance through feedback and understand how they are performing in their role, they are more likely to display loyalty to their company. Clear communication channels and continuous reflection on performance helps employees feel more involved when they connect their own areas of accountability with the broader purpose of the organisation.
